Text Box:  30. This composer was the only one covered on the CD’s from Norway, where he was born in 1843...and died in 1907 at 64. His name is Edvard (Ed vard) Greig (Greeg). . Unfortunately, this composer was afflicted with pleurisy, a pulmonary disease, in 1860,  and lived the rest of life in ill health, with the use of only one lung. He is considered the 31st greatest classical composer in history by Goulding, but as usual you might disagree. 

One piece you heard on the CD’s was his Piano Concerto in A Minor written in 1868…and considered by many as the greatest piano concerto in classical music. Other important pieces came from his music written for the play Peer Gynt (pear ginn).
