Text Box:  25. This composer was born in France in 1838 and died in 1875 at only 37 years old. His name is Georges (George) Bizet (Ba zea”), He is ranked as the 38th greatest composer of classical music by Goulding…probably because his career was cut so short by death. He, is consequently, also sometimes called a one hit wonder. However, Carmen was prophesized by the great Tchaikovsky in 1890 to become the most well-liked opera of all time, and this, in fact, is agreed upon by many people today. A unique fact about Bizet is that composing came to him so easily, that he actually felt guilty he didn’t have to suffer while writing like some other great composers.
