Text Box:  10. Now, we come to another German composer…this one of great MUSICAL size, but of small PHYSICAL size. In fact, he was the shortest of all our classical music composers, coming in at the great height of between 4 foot eleven and 5 foot one. His pudgy physique caused his friends to call him “the mushroom”. He lived from 1797 to 1828, dying at age 31…thus being the youngest to pass away of all our classical composers. But, wow, did he produce music in his short life, and his rank by Goulding is very high…number 7. Okay, finally here is his name…Franz Schubert. A work you will recognize by him Ave Maria (Hail Mary)
