Demo Disk Flashcards
DIRECTIONS:
Use these flashcards with the
Demo Disk
(Click). The
composers are listed here the in numerical order they are on that disk...and this makes them chronological also. To print them, you must use Internet Explorer. Go to "Print
Review" and go to the last top box seen above to the right. Set it to about 80%
or something else that looks good. You will have to
do this EVERY time you print. Fold the sheets and halves and you have nice
flashcards. You also need to print out the Demo Disk
Recognition/Evaluation Sheets...Click
Here...for the children. On these the children will note whether or not they
have heard the music pieces, but will also rate them. A fun activity for them,
and interesting to see which composers they favor. You might want to do one
composer a week if you are a music teacher, or one composer a day if a regular
teacher; i.e. let kids listen to one composer, then show them the picture on the
front of the flashcard, and then brainstorm the class on how much they
remembered of the facts about him...of course you have the info staring you in
the face on the other side of the flashcard. The next day or period, review the
flashcard of the first composer, then play the CD introducing the next sound
tract, and review the facts using the second flashcard, etc. Hey, I taught foor
30 years, but I don't want to tell you how to teach...this is just what worked
for me. INB
